The Difference Between Stainless Steel Rivets and Screws

Rivets are made up of nail and cap at one end, through the way of body deformation or interference fitting riveting the parts. Stainless steel rivet nut is a type of fasteners consisting of a head and a shank for fastening two parts or components with holes into one piece, and the riveting is a non-removable connection.

1. Stainless steel rivet nut through its own deformation, to be specific, one end bursts to prevent objects from sliding out, that make the two or more than two parts jointed together. After riveting, if you want to split parts, the rivet nuts must be destroyed. Whether this part will be removed again, or whether it can be used again, this can be the standard for workers whether or not to choose the rivet nuts.

2. The screws through threads screwed into the parts to connect the parts. So if you want to split the parts, just screw out the screw, instead of destroying it. The screws can be removed, and repeatedly use. Self-tapping screws are directly embedded into the object, but general screws need nuts supporting.

3. Screws are movable fasteners, whilst rivets are fixed fasteners.
