Three Surface Treatments of Steel Rivet Nuts

Surface treatment for the China rivet nut is a process through certain methods to form a coating on the surface of the workpiece, the purpose is to make good product appearance, or anti-corrosion, the surface treatment methods are mainly in three types:

1. Electroplating: make the part to be electroplated immersed in an aqueous solution containing the deposited metal compound, when the current through plating solution, the electroplating metal is precipitated and deposited on the steel rivet nuts. General plating galvanized, copper, nickel, chromium, copper and nickel alloy materials. Sometimes boiled black (blue), phosphating, etc. are also included.

2. Hot-dip galvanizing: the process is through immersing carbon steel parts in the dissolved zinc of the temperature of about 510 ℃ in the plating tank to get the plating products. As a result, the iron-zinc alloy on the surface of the steel parts gradually becomes the passivated zinc. Hot-dip aluminizing is a similar process.

3. Mechanical plating: this process uses coated metal particles to impact the product surface, and makes the coating cold welded on the surface of China steel rivet nut.
