The world's first cold header was developed primarily for mass production of the bullet casings during World War II. Now, cold header is the special equipment that mainly devotes to the production of stainless steel rivet nut and bolts and other fasteners.

1. According to the metal plastic deformation theory, put some pressure on the metal blank at normal temperature, to produce plastic deformation in the mold cavity, moulding into a predetermined shape and size.

2. It must select the metal materials with high-quality and good "plastic deformation" , such as cold heading steel, it reaches the strict standards of chemical composition and mechanical properties.

3. Cold heading bolts, nuts molding machines are multi-model and multi-series. Equipment have reliable performance, high efficiency and stable product quality.

4. The products have good surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. Due to the cold hardening in the upsetting process, the amount of deformation should not be too large, so to reduce cracking.

5. Cold heading process is suitable for the production of fasteners with large quantities, various specifications, so as to reduce costs.

Modern cold header has increased from the previous simple two-position up to multi-position, currently there are new domestic varieties of 5 die, 6 die, 6 die lengthened cold headers.
