Automotive fasteners is similar to other general fasteners that can be classified further as nuts, screw, rivets, studs, pins and tie rods. Each of these classifications has its own specific features.
Nuts are examples of fasteners used being secure a bolt or screw to a certain surface. The nut is characterized based on the application where it is to be used. Some nuts can also be classified depending on its shape and design. In that way, subcategories include hex nuts, wing nuts, cap nuts and t-nuts. Lug nuts, plate nuts, jam nuts and self-locking nuts are also popular in a lot of automotive industries.
These are typically classified as threaded automotive fasteners with threaded pins or rods. Bolts are supplied in the market in different sizes and may only be placed depending on the hole's size where it is to be used.
