The rivet nuts are designed according to their use scopes and methods, flat head rivet nuts are suitable for board surfaces which directly open holes. These holes do not need the chamfer, just to ensure the clean rim of outlet. Rivet nuts of different specifications need to open the hole of corresponding diameter.
Countersunk head rivet nut chamfered on the basis of open holes, but the maximum diameter of the chamfer can not exceed the head diameter of countersunk head rivet nut, and the depth is less than the thickness of countersunk head. The countersunk head angle is generally 90 ℃.
Small countersunk head rivet nuts are not advised to chamfer, and used in the same way as flat head rivet nuts or the chamfer angle to be small to adapt with the small head of small countersunk head rivet nut.
Whether it is a countersunk head rivet nut or a small countersunk head rivet nut, the depth of the chamfer cannot be greater than the thickness of the countersunk head, which is determined by the work principle of riveting gun.
